The Makita DC18RC 18V battery charger is suited to charge lithium-ion batteries. It features a comprehensive indicator light to tell users when the battery is ready to charge, charging, done charging, when charging is delayed, and when the battery is defective. There is a built-in fan that circulates air through the battery during the charging process in order to cool the battery for better and faster charging. Better optimization of batteries is possible with this charger as it communicates with the in-built CPU of the batteries during the charging process. Thereby, controlling the current, voltage, and temperature. This battery is compatible with Hitachi Battery models BL1815, BL1815N, BL1820, BL1830, BL1840, BL1850 (sold separately).
